The Frog's degrees and qualifications
My passion for linguistics inspired me to explore English, Latin, German, Italian and Russian. In 2004 I seized a great opportunity to study creative writing at National University of Ireland, Galway. That was my cue to stop flirting with European languages and marry into Anglo-saxon culture.
2012 – Masters degree/MA (M2 - Practice-based) in Technical Translation and Copywriting at Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Brest.
2007 – Masters degree/MPhil (M2 - Research) in Literary Translation at Université Paris 7, Denis Diderot, specialising in contemporary Irish poetry.
2006 – Masters degree (M1) in Translation Studies, focusing on the translation of orality based on contemporary Irish fiction.
In my previous life, I was also a fully qualified English teacher for French secondary schools, and taught French grammar, culture and translation at Queens' College, Cambridge University.
